Requirements:

• Valid Nevada Special Education (SPED) licensure required
• Experience with high school students preferred
• Comfortable teaching both Special Education and General Education
• Strong background in delivering life skills curriculum
• Proficiency in de-escalation techniques with students exhibiting behavioral challenges

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a high school caseload with individualized education plans
• Implement engaging, differentiated lessons for both general and special education students
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Teach essential life skills and promote positive behavior through evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and specialists to ensure student success
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Fulfill a full-time contract: 35 hours per week, August 24, 2026 – June 4, 2027
