Special Education Teacher Needed South of Minneapolis, MN

A Minnesota school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide comprehensive support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. This role emphasizes fostering emotional regulation, social development, and self-advocacy skills while ensuring students can successfully access both special education and general education settings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement IEP services focused on social skills development, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy

• Provide direct support to students requiring behavioral regulation strategies

• Assist students in meeting expectations across special education and general education classrooms

• Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavior and engagement

• Track and document student progress toward IEP goals

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education staff and related service providers

Required Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education teaching license

• Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and social needs preferred
