Special Education Teacher Needed South of Minneapolis, MN

A Minnesota school district located south of the Twin Cities is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs. This role centers on helping students build social skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy skills while ensuring IEP services are delivered across both special education and general education settings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor IEP goals related to social skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy

• Provide direct support to students requiring behavioral regulation in both SPED and general education classrooms

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create consistent behavior supports

• Collect data and document student progress in compliance with special education requirements

• Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing student planning

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education license

• Experience working with students with social-emotional or behavioral challenges preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom support skills

• Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
