A Minnesota school district located south of the Twin Cities is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs. This role centers on helping students build social skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy skills while ensuring IEP services are delivered across both special education and general education settings.
Primary Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor IEP goals related to social skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy

Provide direct support to students requiring behavioral regulation in both SPED and general education classrooms

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create consistent behavior supports

Collect data and document student progress in compliance with special education requirements

Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing student planning
Qualifications:

Active Minnesota Special Education license

Experience working with students with social-emotional or behavioral challenges preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom support skills

Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
