Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate
- Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate
- Special Education endorsement required
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with varied exceptionalities and ERC (Extended Resource Classroom) preferred
- Comfortable with assisting students with toileting as needed
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and compassionate approach to individualized student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs across a K-12 caseload
- Accommodate and modify curriculum for a broad spectrum of abilities and disabilities, from mild to severe and including students requiring medical support
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collect and analyze data on student progress, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
- Collaborate actively with general education teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, and families to support student growth
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
