Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Provide both direct instruction and consultative support within the inclusion classroom model.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with regulations and best practices.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education (appropriate for elementary/K-5).
- Experience working with elementary-age students in inclusive or special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Ability to create differentiated lesson plans and modify curriculum.
