Special Education Teacher in Florence, SC

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) Teaching License (Emergency certificates not accepted)
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students or PreK children, particularly in Autism-focused or general SPED classrooms
• Ability to secure certification if currently pending
• Comfortable and effective working exclusively onsite
• Open to travel as needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to assigned caseload (1 Elementary Autism SPED, 1 PreK SPED)
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assess student progress and adapt strategies to meet unique needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate and detailed academic records
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
