Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Familiarity with instructional strategies for primary grade levels (K-2)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement behavior management techniques as needed
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and needs
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
