Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction in a self-contained classroom for elementary students with exceptional needs

  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and support academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Collaborate closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and general education teachers
  • Create a welcoming, structured classroom where every child feels safe and valued
  • Support and guide students in building essential life skills, classroom routines, and positive behaviors
