Key Qualifications:
- Active GA SPED License, with all required endorsements
- Adaptive Special Education Certification for the elementary setting
- SPED General Curriculum Certification for the middle school setting
- Experience working with students with autism or in adaptive learning classrooms strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week for the academic year (July 2026 – May 2027)
- Opportunity to work at either North Jackson Elementary (Autism self-contained, Level 3) or West Jackson Middle School (ASD Level 1 or Adaptive MI/MO self-contained)
- Dedicated, collaborative team environments
- Onsite presence required; virtual work is not available for this assignment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and supports according to IEPs
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school staff
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and district requirements
