Special Education Teacher in Forest Lake, MN

In this role, you’ll be called in to cover absences or planned leaves for Special Education Teachers within the district. This could include anything from same-day calls to longer-planned assignments. Enjoy variety in your workday, adapting to different age groups and special education settings across the district. You’ll only work—and be compensated for—the days you’re called in.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification (must be attached to your application to be considered)
• Experience working with students with special needs, from Early Childhood to High School, is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and a positive attitude toward new environments and changing needs
• Ability to implement IEP goals and deliver differentiated instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students in accordance with their IEPs during teacher absences
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers when needed
• Maintain classroom routines and foster a supportive learning environment
• Communicate professionally with school staff and administrators
