Special Education Teacher - Forest Lake, MN

This position is tailored for educators who hold both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications, supporting a unique district initiative. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with BOTH Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications (required)
• Experience working in inclusive or specialized school settings with early childhood and elementary-aged students
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to provide documentation of required certifications (resume and license)

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for students aged early childhood through elementary, following IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement instructional strategies
• Regularly track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings, goal setting, and parent communications
• Foster an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment to facilitate learning and growth
• Adapt teaching methods and learning materials to address students’ specific needs
• Participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives related to special education practices
