This position is tailored for educators who hold both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications, supporting a unique district initiative. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with BOTH Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications (required)
- Experience working in inclusive or specialized school settings with early childhood and elementary-aged students
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to provide documentation of required certifications (resume and license)
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for students aged early childhood through elementary, following IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement instructional strategies
- Regularly track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings, goal setting, and parent communications
- Foster an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment to facilitate learning and growth
- Adapt teaching methods and learning materials to address students’ specific needs
- Participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives related to special education practices
