Embark on a rewarding experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades K-5 in a supportive elementary school environment. The assignment is set to begin on August 31, 2026, and will run through June 4, 2027, providing a meaningful, structured work schedule at 37.5 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (K-5)
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Effective communication skills for working with students, families, paraprofessionals, and other educators
  • Proficiency in differentiating curriculum and supporting individualized learning plans
  • Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support K-5 students as a resource teacher, collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate updates to parents and staff
  • Facilitate small groups and one-on-one instruction tailored to student needs
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
  • Adhere to district policies and special education compliance standards
