Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (K-5)
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, paraprofessionals, and other educators
- Proficiency in differentiating curriculum and supporting individualized learning plans
- Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Support K-5 students as a resource teacher, collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate updates to parents and staff
- Facilitate small groups and one-on-one instruction tailored to student needs
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Adhere to district policies and special education compliance standards
