Special Education Teacher in Forney, TX

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Math Teacher in a supportive middle school environment serving students with diverse learning needs. This contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through May 2027, offering a long-term opportunity to build relationships and see student progress over time.

You’ll work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, engaging students in mathematics and tailoring instruction to meet individual IEP goals. The school environment values collaboration, student growth, and innovative teaching, all within a friendly, dedicated team.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Special Education EC-12 certification
• Secondary Math teaching certification (Texas)
• Experience or passion for teaching math at the middle school level
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to middle school students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with statewide and federal guidelines
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued and challenged
