Requirements & Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Department of Education License
  • EC-12 Special Education Teacher Certification required
  • EC-6 or 6-12 Generalist/Core preferred
  • Extensive ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) experience; comfortable leading and participating in meetings
  • Professional references (to be provided upon request)
  • Ability to adhere to dress code policy (professional attire, neutral hair, limited visible piercings)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction within self-contained, life skills/SLC, or resource/inclusion classrooms
  • Manage caseloads ranging from 8–30 students depending on assignment
  • Arrive 30 minutes before students and fulfill assigned schedule based on placement
  • Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and classroom teams
  • Support student learning through individualized programs and inclusive practices
