An on-site, full-time special education role is now open for a passionate professional dedicated to empowering K-2 learners in a co-teaching environment. You’ll work alongside general educators to foster an inclusive classroom while addressing the individual needs of approximately 15 students, ensuring every child receives tailored instruction and support.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience or strong interest in K-2 elementary education
  • Familiarity with inclusion and co-teaching models
  • Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
  • Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Creative, flexible, and committed to student growth

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering instruction in a K-2 inclusion classroom as a co-teacher
  • Supporting both academic and social-emotional needs through differentiated strategies
  • Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs for a caseload averaging 15 students
  • Working with families and outside service providers to optimize educational outcomes
  • Incorporating evidence-based interventions to promote student success
  • Tracking and reporting progress for compliance and data-driven instruction
