Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Current state teaching license
- Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Proven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educational staff, families, and support personnel
- Knowledge of a range of learning disabilities and effective intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in compliance with IEPs and student learning goals
- Implement accommodations and modifications to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and document data for ongoing evaluation
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure integrated support
- Engage regularly with parents and guardians, fostering positive partnerships
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal special education guidelines
