Empower elementary students to reach their highest potential by providing specialized instruction and support as an Elementary Special Education Teacher/Case Manager. In this contract assignment, you'll work with kindergarten through 5th grade students with mild to moderate needs in an interrelated/resource setting. With a caseload of 17–20 young learners, your expertise will directly shape individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide meaningful intervention strategies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for elementary grades (Kindergarten–5th)
  • Demonstrated experience with mild-to-moderate disabilities in a school or resource/interrelated setting
  • Confidence and proficiency in managing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for efficient case management

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals and grade-level curriculum
  • Act as case manager for a caseload of 17–20 students, including progress monitoring and compliance documentation
  • Conduct assessments and analyze data to inform instructional decisions and IEP updates
  • Collaborate with educational staff, related service providers, and families to promote student growth and success
  • Foster positive, inclusive classroom dynamics that encourage participation and self-advocacy among students
  • Manage scheduling and efficient communication as you balance teaching and case management duties
