Special Education Teacher - Fostoria, OH

Make a real impact as an Intervention Specialist by supporting middle school students near Fostoria, OH. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 25th through May 28th, 2027. As a Special Education Teacher, you'll use your expertise to deliver essential push-in services, collaborating with classroom teachers to support twelve 6th–8th graders in their academic and personal growth.

What You'll Bring:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist
• Experience working with students in special education, preferably at the middle school level
• Skilled in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration abilities with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and creativity in tailoring evidence-based strategies
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom community

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in support for twelve 6th–8th grade students, ensuring their individual needs are met within the general education classroom
• Collaborate on and modify curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating regularly with staff and families
• Develop and implement IEPs, leading meetings as required
• Help maintain a classroom environment that encourages respect, independence, and confidence
