Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
• Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet individual student needs
• Comfortable with both individual and small group instruction

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure effective inclusion
• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in both pull-out and push-in settings
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence and self-advocacy
• Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in accordance with all policies and regulations
