Special Education Teacher | Framingham, Massachusetts

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts teaching licensure/certification in either Moderate or Severe Disabilities
• Recent school-based experience in a Special Education setting
• Familiarity with working with elementary-aged students, especially those with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
• Successful completion of a CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted for fingerprints)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to delivering individualized instruction and support for student IEP goals

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to 2nd and 3rd grade students, adapting lessons and materials as needed
• Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that meet each student’s unique learning profile
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
• Manage and support paraprofessionals as needed
• Uphold IEP mandates and partner with families for ongoing communication
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and required training
