Qualifications:

  • Active MA licensure/certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities
  • Previous school-based special education teaching experience required
  • Must complete CORI background check and fingerprinting (or present a recent letter of suitability)
  • Comfortable supporting students in 2nd and 3rd grade with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
  • Competent with in-person/onsite teaching; ability to start as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade students at McCarthy School
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate constructively with faculty, support staff, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
  • Track and report student progress utilizing effective documentation methods
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
