Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Current and active Massachusetts Special Education License required
• Experience working with middle school students, especially in 8th grade, is preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Comfortable adapting instruction to meet a range of learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute lesson plans that adhere to IEP goals, ensuring individualized instruction for students with diverse abilities
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive and productive learning environment
• Attend IEP meetings, professional development, and staff collaboration sessions
• Provide direct instructional support in both inclusive and pull-out settings as necessary
