Special Education Teacher in Fredonia, NY

An exciting contract opportunity is now available for a skilled Special Education Teacher eager to make an impact in a K-2 self-contained classroom (6:1:1 ratio). This full-time, onsite role runs Monday through Friday and is set to begin as soon as possible, continuing through June 30th, 2027, with potential for renewal based on performance and fit.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Special Education Teacher Certification with the required endorsement
• Experience or strong interest in working with grades K-2 in a self-contained (6:1:1) classroom
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support in an onsite, self-contained classroom setting
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique learning goals
• Foster an encouraging, structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to facilitate comprehensive student growth
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress toward IEP goals

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate between $40 and $45, commensurate with experience and certification.
