Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Maine 282 certification
  • CHRC certification (fingerprinting clearance)
  • Ability and willingness to complete Safety Care training
  • Experience designing and implementing positive behavioral support plans
  • Familiarity with academic, social emotional, and behavioral support frameworks
  • Understanding of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Experience working with K-5 students in special education settings a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and deliver instructional plans for students with diverse abilities
  • Implement effective behavioral strategies and individualized support plans
  • Foster a safe, engaged, and empowering classroom community
  • Monitor student progress and document growth
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents
  • Contribute to the school’s MTSS processes and wraparound support for each learner
