Special Education Teacher in Fremont, CA

This position focuses on students in grades K-6 within an RSP (Resource Specialist Program) classroom setting. You'll work closely with a manageable caseload of 13 students, providing individualized support and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Credential
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children, preferably in a Resource Specialist or similar environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instructional support for students in grades K-6 as part of an RSP program
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum, materials, and classroom environments
• Communicate regularly with families, counselors, and support staff regarding student progress and needs
• Maintain accurate records, document student growth, and prepare progress reports as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning atmosphere for all students

Position Details:

• Contract role with consistent hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Manage a caseload of 13 elementary students requiring specialized instruction within an RSP setting
