Openings include:

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week) split between two elementary schools beginning October 5th and extending through the end of the school year.
  • Part-time position (1 day a week, 8 hours) at a single elementary site, available for immediate start until the end of the school year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential, with authorization for Mild/Moderate disabilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher, ideally within the elementary age range.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with general educators, specialist teams, and families.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction for students with mild to moderate needs in resource or inclusive settings.
  • Assess student abilities, plan targeted lessons, and document progress in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Advocate for students’ learning and access to curriculum, collaborating with colleagues and parents.
  • Maintain organized records and coordinate meetings for student progress updates.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and manage related classroom paperwork effectively.
