A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school in Fremont, NH. This role involves working with a caseload of six students with very high needs, each supported by 1:1 paraprofessionals. The students have varying levels of access to general education settings, creating a dynamic and impactful teaching environment.

Key responsibilities include managing paraprofessionals and designing, developing, and delivering appropriate instruction tailored to each student's needs. The role also involves overseeing students' special education processes, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and eligibility procedures. Collaboration is essential, with support from an in-house Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and related services team to enhance student outcomes.

Work hours align with the school schedule, with students attending from 8:20 AM to 3:05 PM daily. While eight hours per week of direct work is expected, significant time will be dedicated to planning and preparation, especially during the initial phase. Additional hours spent on planning will be compensated accordingly.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher with relevant experience in elementary education
  • Proven ability to manage paraprofessionals and coordinate team efforts effectively
  • Experience with IEP development, implementation, and eligibility processes
