Special Education Teacher - Frisco, Texas

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold an active Texas Special Education teaching certification with one of the following endorsements: Self-Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist. (Certification and endorsement must correspond with the grades relevant to this assignment.)
• Strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs, including those following life skills curriculums.
• Background working in elementary settings or similar classrooms is highly valued.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction and classroom management for a range of abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in a FASE (Life Skills) classroom, promoting student progress and independence.
• Adapt and modify lesson plans to meet each learner's unique needs and goals.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Collaborate with classroom staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and behavioral interventions as appropriate.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates as required.

This position entails a 37.5-hour workweek in an onsite capacity, offering the chance to build lasting relationships with students and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
