Qualifications and Experience We Value:

  • Current Missouri Special Education Teacher certification
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
  • Ability to effectively handle K-12 caseloads, adapting to individual student needs
  • Experience in self-contained and/or resource classroom settings
  • Commitment to upholding all general Special Education Teacher responsibilities
  • A strong work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach to school culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instructional support to students with diverse abilities and learning profiles
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that encourages engagement and student achievement
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support for each learner
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Support parents/guardians with resources and regular communication
