Special Education Teacher - Fulton, Missouri

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Special Education teaching certification
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Previous work in K-12 classroom settings, preferably with varied caseloads
• Ability to adapt and support students in self-contained, inclusion, and resource environments
• Collaborative approach and strong communication skills with colleagues, students, and families

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, review, and maintain compliant IEPs according to regulatory and school guidelines
• Monitor student progress and modify teaching strategies to foster academic and personal growth
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Effectively communicate student progress and needs with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives
