Special Education Teacher - Gaffney, SC

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) certification required
• Proven track record as a Special Education Teacher, with experience in self-contained classrooms highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment for diverse learners
• Adaptability and organizational skills to manage educational plans and paperwork efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction in a self-contained classroom
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth by creating a safe and supportive classroom culture
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
• Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state policies
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff professional development, and ongoing communication with families
