Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in reading, math, and other core subjects aligned to IEP goals
- Provide support within both resource classrooms and general education settings through co-teaching and consultation
- Monitor students’ academic progress and maintain precise, compliant documentation
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and the special education team to plan effective interventions and strategies
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, developing and implementing appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Foster positive relationships and provide consistent academic and behavioral support to middle school students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certificate or eligibility for certification
- Demonstrated experience in a resource or inclusion setting, particularly with middle school students
- Strong instructional and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to individualized learning, student engagement, and supporting diverse academic and behavioral needs
