What you’ll bring:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification (required)
  • Prior experience supporting students with IEPs in a resource classroom, preferred
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and accommodations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt quickly and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver specially designed instruction to students based on IEP goals
  • Assess student abilities and progress, adjusting instructional plans as needed
  • Document and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support overall program development
  • Foster a supportive, respectful classroom climate that encourages student growth
