Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Prior experience working with K-12 students, including those in self-contained and resource classrooms
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to fulfill general Special Education Teacher responsibilities, including documentation, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to a growth mindset along with a positive and proactive approach to challenges
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized learning and behavioral plans based on each student’s IEP
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student success
• Adapt instructional strategies and materials to suit diverse learning needs
• Track and report on student progress; maintain accurate records
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
