Special Education Teacher - Gallina, New Mexico

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working in classroom settings with students of varying abilities and grade levels (PreK–High School)
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and differentiated learning strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly and create an inclusive learning environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction both in inclusion settings and during pullout periods, based on student needs
• Develop and implement IEPs with measurable goals and regular progress monitoring
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and accommodate learning styles
• Foster positive relationships with students to promote engagement and academic growth
• Maintain organized, accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
