Key qualifications and experience:

• Active Maine 282 Special Education teaching license
• Experience teaching in K-1 self-contained or grades 2-4 FLS settings preferred
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

Primary responsibilities include:

• Delivering personalized instruction that meets each student’s IEP goals
• Collaborating with faculty and support staff to support holistic student growth
• Engaging with parents and guardians to foster ongoing communication and partnership
• Monitoring progress, maintaining records, and adjusting strategies as needed
• Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and school activities onsite

Compensation is competitive, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $40 to $47, determined by your level of education and years of experience.
