Special Education Teacher - Genoa, CO

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Special Education Teacher license (required)
• Previous experience with elementary-aged students in both resource and self-contained settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for working with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and empathy in meeting diverse learning needs
• Commitment to creating a supportive, positive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver appropriate special education instruction to elementary students in a center-based classroom
• Develop, revise, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Assess students’ progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Manage classroom routines, behaviors, and data to promote student engagement and achievement
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
