Step into a vital role supporting young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for a short-term assignment from August 3 to November 30. This unique opportunity combines in-person engagement with the flexibility of remote work. You’ll support multiple schools across four days a week, providing essential services and assessments on-site while handling paperwork and IEP meetings from home. This hybrid contract position covers a 65-day maternity leave and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in children’s educational journeys.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Special Education Teacher certification and relevant state licensure
  • Background in Early Childhood Special Education strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable traveling for on-site services and performing assessments across multiple schools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Skilled in managing both in-person and virtual (remote) educational responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct special education services and conduct assessments on-site at assigned schools
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and IEP meetings, leveraging remote access as permitted
  • Collaborate with families, administrators, and fellow educators to craft and implement individualized plans
  • Monitor student progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse developmental needs
  • Attend team meetings and contribute insights for continuous improvement of student outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
