This contract opportunity runs through June 12th, 2027, and offers both full-time and part-time scheduling, depending on your availability. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload of around 10 students, designing individualized plans and fostering a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
Qualified candidates will need:
- Delaware Early Childhood Special Education certification
- Passion and enthusiasm for early childhood education
- Previous experience serving children with diverse and significant needs
- Competence in managing and positively redirecting negative behaviors
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families and school staff
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for young children with disabilities
- Employing evidence-based strategies to support a range of developmental and behavioral needs
- Tracking student progress and communicating effectively with parents and team members
- Fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to support best practices in early childhood special education
