Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Case Manager supporting students with diverse needs in North Austin. The contract position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30/7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, and involves working closely with students, families, and staff to foster a supportive learning environment and ensure compliance with student services.
As an ARD Facilitator and 504 Coordinator, you’ll balance the needs of approximately 200 students, including those receiving speech, dyslexia, and special education services. Your expertise will be crucial in organizing and leading Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and writing clear, actionable 504 plans to provide tailored accommodations. SuccessEd software is used for documentation, and candidates with their own laptop are preferred, though a school device may be provided if needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Texas Department of Education Special Education licensure (required)
- Experience moderating ARD meetings and serving as a 504 Coordinator
- Strong organizational and communication skills, especially working across disciplines and with families
- Familiarity with SuccessEd or similar case management software is valuable
- Willingness to adhere to the school’s dress code, which maintains a professional and equitable environment (no dyed/single colored hair, limited visible piercings)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other special education staff
