Special Education Teacher | Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learning needs and IEP goals
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Experience managing classroom behavior and supporting students with various disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with student IEPs and curriculum standards
• Collaborate with instructional staff and related service professionals
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a supportive environment for social, emotional, and academic growth
• Participate in staff inservice on July 7, 2026, with student instructional days from July 8 to July 30, 2026 (Monday through Thursday, approximately 8:15am–11:45am)
• Anticipate standard school hours during the 26/27 school year (7:45am–3:15pm), should assignment be extended
