Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment supporting itinerant pre-school students in the Hanover and Gettysburg area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multiple school sites and families, with a schedule running from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Successful candidates will play a key role in helping pre-school-aged children access the support and instruction they need to achieve developmental milestones. You’ll work with a diverse team while providing individualized instruction across various sites, with a central home base at NOCO.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (please submit with your resume)
  • Experience working with pre-school-aged children, preferably in itinerant or early intervention settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches for individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Reliable transportation, as travel between multiple locations in the Hanover and Adams County areas is required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group special education services to pre-school students in a variety of settings
  • Travel daily to assigned program locations as scheduled
  • Develop, monitor, and report on IEP goals and student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance requirements
