Special Education Teacher | Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

This contract opportunity, located near Gettysburg, PA, offers the chance to work collaboratively with additional classroom assistance, supporting students in their educational and developmental journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification
• Experience or strong interest in special education, particularly working with students on the autism spectrum
• Ability to collaborate with Paraprofessional Classroom Assistants (PCA) and other staff
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students in Autistic Support classrooms from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to best meet student needs
• Work closely with PCAs and other team members to support daily classroom activities and optimize student engagement
• Monitor and assess student progress, making timely adjustments to instruction and interventions
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally
