Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working with K-5 students preferred
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies in a self-contained classroom
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated instructional plans
• Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Support social, emotional, and academic development for students with behavioral challenges
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies effectively
• Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and families
• Track and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Foster a supportive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
