Special Education Teacher | Gilbert, Arizona

Step into a meaningful role working in a Junior High SPICE I classroom, providing specialized instruction and support for students who thrive with extra guidance. You’ll work full-time, 40 hours each week, with a focused caseload of 9 junior high students. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 28, 2027, offering you a stable, rewarding commitment in a supportive educational setting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active Arizona teaching license in Special Education
• Current IVP fingerprint card
• Experience in secondary special education settings preferred
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Commitment to collaboration with support staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and differentiated lessons in a SPICE I classroom
• Develop and update IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote academic and social growth
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Partner with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student integration
• Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
