Looking for a fulfilling opportunity to inspire elementary students and make a real difference? This contract position for a Special Education Teacher offers the chance to support learners in a resource setting classroom, working collaboratively with a dedicated team of educators and support staff. The assignment runs from August 31st, 2026, through June 17th, 2027, with full-time hours (approximately 35-37.5 per week), and some flexibility for pre or post-planning days as needed.
As part of a collaborative case management structure, you will focus on a caseload of approximately 15–20 students in grades 1st through 4th, working alongside two other case managers. Engage with students in both resource room and push-in settings, with the added support of 1:1 paraprofessionals and behavior analysts to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification required
- Direct experience as a Special Education Teacher with 1st–4th grade students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs for students in resource and inclusion settings
- Collaborate with co-teachers, paras, and behavior analysts to deliver tailored support
- Utilize progress monitoring tools and data to inform instruction
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
