What you bring:

• Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License and current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Certification in CBT and/or STRIVE programs
• Experience working with students with emotional disabilities or those needing support with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the needs of at-risk, ethnically diverse, limited English proficient, and exceptional students
• Background in developing and implementing individualized education plans and compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
• E.E.E.I. training, or willingness to participate in relevant staff development
• Ability to commute within 30 minutes to one or more of the following schools: Linda Abril, Academies at South, Alhambra, BioScience, Bostrom, Betty FairFax, and other Southern region schools

Key responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction based on student eligibility and program needs (Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, STRIVE)
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Manage full-time caseloads while ensuring progress monitoring and compliance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students
• Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices

This full-time, extended contract runs from July 2024 to May 2027, offering stability and the chance to impact many students’ lives.
