Special Education Teacher in Glendale Heights, IL

We’re seeking four dedicated professionals to provide specialized support in inclusive/resource and structured classroom settings for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity is based at elementary and middle school campuses, with well-defined caseloads to ensure your ability to deliver focused, individualized instruction.

These contract positions begin August 11, 2026, and run through May 24, 2027, offering 35 hours per week onsite. Depending on your preference and skillset, you’ll have the chance to work within inclusion/resource environments or a structured setting alongside paraprofessional support.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Valid Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement
• Previous experience supporting students with IEPs and a range of learning and behavioral needs
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to collaborating with paraprofessionals, general educators, and clinical teams
• Comfort assisting with toileting and addressing behavioral challenges as needed
• Strong communication skills for working closely with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

In your day-to-day, you’ll:

• Provide tailored instruction through co-teaching, small group, or individual support
• Track student progress and collaborate on IEP goals
• Implement strategies to support behavioral and academic growth
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
