Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement (PEL LBS1 required)
  • Experience or strong interest in special education, including structured classrooms for high-incidence students
  • Comfort with providing support for behaviors and toileting as needed
  • Collaborative approach to working with paras and related staff

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a class of five high-incidence special education students at the elementary level
  • Collaborate with two dedicated paraprofessionals to provide a structured, supportive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress, adapt instruction as needed, and foster both academic and personal development
  • Maintain open communication with staff and families to support student growth
