Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (state-appropriate)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students in resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs and IEP goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and solution-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying abilities
- Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress toward IEP objectives
- Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records, document student growth, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations as needed
